Event Details

We have decided to organize an online event about gendered violence and social reproduction in the era of the pandemic. We are inviting feminist activists from Greece and abroad (US, Brazil, Spain) as keynote speakers to discuss the impact of COVID-19 in women´s lives. In Greece as in many other countries of the world, gendered violence has risen sharply (or has become more noticeable) due to the confinement of women at home following the coronavirus crisis. In Greece, the vulnerability of refugee women living in the camps is also critical. During the last two years, our assembly has been organizing the March 8th feminist strike following the example of Spain and Latin America. Our event will be presented via live-streaming on May 9th .
